IconBuffet Widget

IconBuffet Dashboard WidgetHere is a fun little creation for the IconBuffet fans out there. This widget allows you to send icons to your friends straight from the OS X Dashboard. It looks pretty spiffy, too!

We started making the widget in Dashcode, which is an beta application by Apple. The program has a great interface, but writes nasty code under the hood. Similar to the markup from hell that Dreamweaver outputs (no offense if you use Dreamweaver...we still love you). So the widget ended up being lovingly hand-coded with our good friend, TextMate.

We're pretty stoked about this announcement: Blinksale, our online invoicing prodigy, has been selected as a part of CNET's inaugural Webware 100. We're thrilled to see Blinksale listed along with other great productivity and business sites like Google Docs, Amazon.com, Craigslist, PayPal, and Basecamp. In fact, we're pretty honored that our customers voted us into this crowd. Shocked actually.

So a big thank you is in order to all those who voted for Blinksale. We're excited about the future for the application, and pleased as punch to be a part of this select group of sites.

Sidenote: Is it just me, or did Webware 100 borrow our color scheme?

In 1978 (which was the very year the kiddo that was me stumbled upon the photo in a newspaper) this was impressive and exciting technological news (and I had to insist to a classmate that those aren't baseball bats).
