Firewheel and Blinksale were featured in a nice Fort Worth Star Telegram article about Texas-based "Web 2.0" companies in yesterday's Sunday edition. When I first learned we would be appearing in the article, I let my dad know to make sure and save a copy. He asked, "What's Web 2.0?" ...And this should tell you why the Star Telegram is publishing the article. I think Dallas Fort Worth is one of the best places you could possibly choose to start a web business, so long as you're able to deal with plastic-ness of the city. Hopefully we'll continue to see the community grow here.

Congrats on all your success and some great products. I'm a designer in Austin and I think central Texas is a great place for what we do. Thanks for the excellent blog too!

Interesting, I had no idea until now that you were based in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Congrats from Austin on the new publicity.

I had no idea either. My parents live in Lewisville, but I'm in Lubbock for now.
I agree that the metroplex is business-friendly and will probably move there sometime in the nearish future.
Great blog, and thanks for everything you all do!
