Those who subscribe to our RSS feeds know that we run two types of posts on our blog. The first, Sparks, are usually longer in content and generally have open commenting. The second, Plugs, are mostly one-liners with links off-site and no comments.
We run both types of posts through the same RSS, and oftentimes I feel like this probably makes it difficult to notice the difference between the two. So I though we'd ask... what would you, reader, think of two RSS feeds? One for the Sparks... One for the Plugs?

Hmm. If there were a way to know which is a Spark and which is a Plug (i.e., a link to commenting), I'd be happy. I don't really want a ton of different RSS feeds for similar content....
I'd be happier with two feeds, I think. It'd probably be a cool idea. Go for it, Daddyo. And September 16 is the new date, Bro, so I doubt you can make it. You're still invited. :o)

I'd prefer one. Why not put SPARK: or PLUG: in front of the item title in the feed if you want to let us know what each item is supposed to be?

I prefer two feeds because of the context of the content.
Sparks are more interactive and Plugs seem more passive. I will stop what I'm doing to read and maybe comment on a Spark, but usually wait a day or two to check out Plugs.

I'm in danger of unsubscribing due to the spark to plug ratio, so seperate feeds would stop that for me. I think the three feed option would work best for everyone though.

I'd prefer the two feeds, but the 3 feed option (spark + plug + combined) seems to please everyone.
I just prefer a category in my reader for real posts (that I'll go read, comment, ponder) to not have a lot of quickbits placed in there that I'm less likely to follow. +1 3 feeds

Alright, after much deliberation, we've decided to simply keep it one feed. Now Sparks and Plugs are noted in the entry title, and the comments link is prominently displayed on the Sparks posts. See how this works for you.
